13 Years ago I made an exact copy of a JBL 4645 THX certified Cinema subwoofer. Built from scratch. Yesterday, I dug it out of the theater and Painted it! Wow what a difference! I drew up an exact replica of the logo and cut it from matt white vinyl for the sides. Also stuck some hard wood feet on it.
This thing is the size of a fridge minus the freezer.
Some specs:
Single 18″ JBL pro sub
Weighs in at 131lbs.
POWER HANDLING CAPABILITY:
Continuous Pink Noise: 800 watts
Continuous Program: 1600 watts
Peak Power: 3200 watts
They always say, there is no replacement for displacement ha!
EDIT: For those that ask about the exposed screws, I like to be able ‘tighten’ up the frame as they work loose over the years, yes it it glued and sealed, but having the ability to tighten a joint makes me feel better ha.
