Wiki had a great excerpt on this unique device I linked above. What a history! The unit I picked up did not work, and the box was in real bad shape. I set out to fix all of those problems!
First step was to wire in a new power cord for it! So this meant I had to take it apart! and wow was it amazing inside!

Here is what it looks like in the dark. ( Borrowed these from the web. ) Also a schematic I drew up on how it works.

The old box was shot and I was not able to restore it, so I went about making a new one!

And here is the final result!

Here is a video explaining the process!
UPDATE:4/24/2025 Per request, I photo scanned the original manual, and uploaded it below. NOTE: The manual is very delicate and brittle, I did not think it would survive a flatbed scanner, or glass plate pressing, so these are photos taken of each page with its natural curve, so some parts may be slightly out of focus.
I do hope you all find this as fascinating as I did!
I have one of those violet rays. It didn’t have a plug on it. It screwed into a light socket when I got it. The old man I got it from said he didn’t know what the hell it was and that he had never seen it before. I would like to se what happens when you stick it in a cootchie and turn it on.
Could you please send me a copy of how to use the device how long and to use and for which body area please?
Thank you
Emma,
I took the time to photo scan the entire manual for you! I updated this page with those photos, you may have to refresh your page to see the update at the bottom.
I hope this has the information you needed!
